The Tandem and Double Tandem Compound Mill Engine were also quite common in the late Victorian times and were lso still being used up to the mid-20th Century.The Model represents a typical Double Tandem of this period, and it is based on our Tandem Compound with new drawings. It makes a good size model with lots of scope for further detail modelling. Cylinders HP 1" LP 1 5/8" Bore x 1 1/2" Stroke - Flywheel 6" - Base 18 1/2" x 14" Our Tandem Compound Mill Engine on which this Model is based was the subject of a constructional series in the Model Engineer which would be of help to newer modellers.
