'DAIRY ENGINE' RANSOMES, SIMS & JEFFERIES
A fine example of a small Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies " Dairy Engine " by John Haining makes an interesting alternative to a stationary engine with its own steam plant it should be up and running quite quickly, do remember at the very least to chock the wheels! as for a small engine it is quite powerful. For those who need a little help the engine is covered by a construction series in the Model Engineer and in which John Haining relates the history of the diary engine.
